WHO WE ARE
Empty Sink Publishing is dedicated to publishing works from new, emerging, or established writers that encourage the reader to reevaluate the world around them. Founded in August, 2013, we want work that stretches the mind, defies convention, and offers a new perspective on life.
ADAM M. DUBBIN, Publisher
Adam Dubbin is a writer, editor and documentarian from the swamplands of north-central Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree in Classical Studies, and additionally earned a Master’s of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the University of Bradford, UK in Archaeological Science and a Master’s of Science (M.S.) in Audiological Science from the University of South Florida. He currently in the midst of a documentary project called Save Florida Waters Now, which aims to survey all of the state’s various water issues and unite the citizens behind the banner of clean water. He has also worked in the fields of audiology, journalism, electrical engineering, genetics and environmental sciences. When not writing, editing or documenting, Adam enjoys gardening, the culinary arts, performing and listening to music, and playing sports.
E. BRANDEN HART, Executive Editor
Branden is an editor and author living and working in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife, his son, a neurotic hound and an explosive terrier. He has published fiction in Sand Hill Review Press, Toasted Cheese Literary Magazine, and Crack the Spine, among others.
Branden and Adam have been writing, editing and publishing together since 2006, when Adam and the other folks at daily magazine TheSequitur.com brought Branden on as an editorial board member-at-large. During their time at TheSequitur.com, Branden and Adam collaborated on and edited hundreds of articles, covered the Bonnaroo music festival four consecutive years, and successfully staged a coup to overthrow a dictatorial regime in a third world country (one of those things is not true).

Suanne Schafer was added to the Empty Sink Publishing team August, 2015. She stepped down from her position in March, 2017. Her superlative writing and editing skills proved a significant asset to the publication, and we are forever thankful for her contributions.

The photo in our header was taken by the awesome Leigh Sims, whose photographs we published in issues 3, 4, and 5. One of the photos we published was titled, “Empty Sink,” and when we saw it, we knew we had to incorporate it into the site somehow.

Empty Sink Publishing is currently accepting Empty Sink Publishing submission guidelines.. We are picky. If we reject your submission, it doesn’t mean we don’t like you. It just means that you don’t fit the Empty Sink Publishing mold.
